A man was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment and another male received a two-year community rehabilitation order at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday 9th September 2005 for drugs offences.

 

26 year old Lawrence Stephan and 23 year old Roemil Stephan of Cricklewood were arrested on 30th July 2005 in Ealing for possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

 

On 30th July 2005 at 2120hrs Ealing Borough police officers were on patrol in High Street/Bond Street in Ealing Broadway when they saw a blue Audi A3 vehicle with two occupants and a transaction taking place with a white male.

 

The officers parked their vehicle and approached the blue Audi. The occupants of the vehicle were stopped and searched. Lawrence Stephan was found in possession of Class A drugs and £490. Roemil Stephan was found in possession of Class C drugs and £1055. Both were arrested and bailed pending analysis of the drugs.  Lawrence Stephan was later charged with possession of 9.04 grammes of cocaine with intent to supply and Roemil Stephan was charged with possession of 32.37 grammes of cannabis with intent to supply.

 

On 9th September 2005 both defendants were sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court.

�I am pleased with the sentence given to Stephan. It will send out a clear message to anyone involved in drugs activity on Ealing Borough that we are fully committed too tackling this type of offence and determined to obtain lengthy prison sentences for known offenders.�
