Transport for London (TfL) which is currently replacing the Power Road Bridge which over the A406 North Circular Road (Gunnersbury Avenue) has advised that it will be carrying out more work this weekend.

The A406 Gunnersbury Avenue will remain open but will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the works. These will take place from 8am on 16 September to 6pm on 17 September.

TfL's contractors demolished and removed the western section of Power Road Bridge over the August Bank Holiday. They are now rebuilding this section of the bridge as part of a stronger bridge on the A406 Gunnersbury Avenue.

They plan to temporarily remove a section of the traffic island near the junction of Gunnersbury Avenue and Power Road. This is so they can maintain traffic in both directions during the works.

Pedestrian and cyclist access will be possible at all times.

The area may be busier than normal. Bus route 440 serving Stop D (Power Road) may be affected by increased traffic in the area near Power Road.
