Care worker Peter Lindley attacked BA air steward
August 12, 2024 A 61-year-old care worker has been jailed for 13 years for attempting to murder a British Airways air steward. On at 10am 31 January this year, Peter Lindley broke into to the room of Marvie Orbiso at shared accommodation provided by Charing Cross Hospital at Cliff House in Hammersmith. He had become enraged when Mr Orbiso, who is originally from The Philippines, had reported him to the accommodation manager for bad behaviour and Mr Lindley was facing the prospect of being evicted. The attack took place while the victim was sleeping. He was stabbed 9 times in what the prosecution described as a vicious and sustained attack. Lindley’s defence was that the accusation of poor behaviour and drunkenness made against him was false. He expressed remorse for the attack and said that Mr Orbiso didn’t die even though he expressed that wish as he made the attack. As well as the 13 years prison term, Lindley was sentenced to an additional five years with extended licence.
