Do Geese See God Exhibition at Riverside Studios
Riverside Artists Group ponders the limits to seeing and imagining

The latest exhibition from the Riverside Artists Group (RAG) is ‘Do Geese See God’.
The enigmatic title is explained by group member Peter Blegvad who says, “‘do geese see god’ is a palindrome, a symmetrical word-object which reads the same backwards as forwards... playfully considered, ’do geese see god’ presents a question about what, how and who we see, what the limits to our seeing and imagining might be.”
31 artists will be displaying their work at the Riverside Studios, the same venue (although in a different building) where the group was formed in the mid-eighties.
Now an established collective of professional artists, its shows are recognised for the individuality of approaches that its members produce.
The show includes figurative and abstract paintings, as well as experimental and conceptual pieces. Using canvas, paper, print and photographs, all works are for sale unless otherwise stated.
The free exhibition runs from 25 March to 11 May and is open from 7:30am to 11pm each day.
A regular complement to RAG exhibitions is its special ‘Artists Talks’. Many members have taught, written or lectured on art and the talks provide interaction with the artists to discuss the works on show.
Peter Blegvad will be giving a talk in the main atrium from 11am to 1pm on Sunday 13 April.

RAG is a not-for-profit organisation. For sales of work, individual artists can be contacted through its website.
