Michael Fletcher's Relatives Traced

Family touched by learning of Michael's on-line popularity

The family of BrentfordTW8.com forum regular Michael Fletcher who was recently killed on his bike in a road accident have now been traced.

They were only informed of his death some time after it occured. They had been expecting to see Michael over Christmas when he was due to visit his Aunt's in Huddersfield.

The family have taken over the arrangements, his funeral will be in Huddersfield on the 31st of December, and he will be interred in a family grave.

A cousin of Mike's contacted another forum member to say, " It was wonderful to read the obit comments on the Brentford TW8 website. As you mentioned he was a very private man and we had no idea that he had so many friends and was so well thought of in Brentford."

The family thank everyone for their kind comments.

Michael Fletcher was hit by a car whilst cycling on the A4. He was actively involved in local community affairs helping the Brentford Community Council with scrutiny of planning applications to try and help ensure that developments were in the best interests of residents.

He campaigned for better cycling provision in Brentford and the rest of the borough.
