Police have issued a renewed appeal for witnesses to an accident which occurred at about 02:00 on Friday 30th September on the Goldhawk Road by the Goldhawk Road tube station.

A car travelling from Shepherd's Bush towards Chiswick was in collision with a woman as she was crossing the road outside station.

She was taken to New Charing Cross Hospital, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The woman has been named as Susan Henry, aged 35. She leaves a partner and a young son.

Police wish to trace the car, which failed to stop at the scene. It is described as a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf or VW Jetta - possible a G, H or J registration. The car almost certainly sustained front off-side damage as a result of the collision.

They would also like to contact the driver of a red car seen to stop immediately after the incident. The car was behind the one which was involved in the accident.

Officers from the South West London Collision Investigation Unit are investigating. Anyone with information that may assist the inquiry should call the Hampton Traffic Garage on 020 8941 9011.
