MP running to support two charities helping young people
Brentford & Isleworth MP Ruth Cadbury has completed the London Marathon again this year beating her previous time by over an hour. Her time was under her personal target of five hours in the race run this Sunday (27 April). She was running to raise funds for two charities. The first charity is the CW+ Sun and Stars Appeal, who are raising money for better facilities for the Children’s Ward at West Middlesex Hospital, and the second is Young Minds, a national mental health charity for young people. Ms Cadbury said, "Whilst I’m still quite sore, it was great to not only beat my time from last year, but to also meet my own target of finishing the marathon in under 5 hours. I started running quite late in life, and it’s such a good way to keep fit and unwind . I’d like to say a huge congratulations to all fellow runners, and thank you to those who donated to their causes. I also want to thank the hundreds of volunteers, without whom the London Marathon just wouldn't happen." April 30, 2019 |
