Session to be chaired by Chairman of Brentford FC Cliff Crown
January 15, 2025 There will be an opportunity to quiz the leader of Hounslow Council, Shantanu Rajawat, and members of his Cabinet at a ‘Question Time’ event to be held at the Gtech Community Stadium. Questions from members of the public will be put to senior councillors in a session which will be chaired by Cliff Crown, Chairman of Brentford Football Club. Cliff Crown was appointed to Brentford’s board in 2012 and has chaired since 2013. He also served on the English Football League Board and chaired the Football Association Cup Committee. The free event takes place on Thursday 30 January, from 6.30 to 8pm, and spaces are limited and must be booked in advance before 8am on 29 January. Light refreshments will be served from 6pm. Residents can submit questions ahead of the meeting or book a ticket and ask them on the night. Topics raised at the last Question Time in September include improving transport links, tackling fly-tipping and investing in mental health and community spaces. Cliff Crown said, “I am both delighted and honoured to Chair the Hounslow Cabinet Question Time next month. “I am looking forward to welcoming local residents to the Gtech Community stadium and to hearing about the issues that are of most concern to them. “Brentford Football Club is at the heart of the local community and the work we do in the borough, and surrounding boroughs, is something we are rightly proud of.” Cllr Rajawat, added, “We’re delighted that Cliff Crown has offered his experience and support as Chair for our next Cabinet Question Time. We’ve a history of excellent chairs, with Dr Talac Mahmud, an NHS GP and Clinical Director, doing a brilliant job at Cranford Community Hub in September. “I encourage everyone in Hounslow to share their questions on our website and book a ticket for the event, well in advance, so we can welcome as many people as possible to the Gtech Stadium and answer their questions.” The Gtech Community Stadium is on Lionel Road South, Brentford (TW8 0RU).
