Hounslow Council's planning system will be closed to the public for the rest of this week.

Due to a major upgrade on Hounslow council's Planning IT system, the public will be unable to submit online applications, search for planning applications or view the weekly lists online.

Any related documents will also be unavailable for public access from 5 pm today Tuesday 20th until 5pm Friday 23rd October.

We have asked Hounslow Council why it is necessary to shut the system down to the public during the works.

From yesterday (Oct 19th), all planning application submissions have to be made electronically through the Planning Portals website www.planningportal.gov.uk

All decision notices will now be issued electronically to the email address provided on the application form.

Planning policies and practices shape development in the borough ranging from large redevelopment schemes to small housing developments, changes of use of commercial property and residential extensions.

The Hounslow planning service covers planning policy, development control, planning enforcement, design and conservation.
