Caught using mobile phone while at wheel of his Rolls Royce
January 3, 2025 31-year-old music star Stormzy has been given nine month driving ban after been found guilty of an offence committed in West Kensington. He was spotted by an off-duty police officer last March using a mobile phone while at the wheel of a Rolls-Royce Wraith on Addison Road. The rapper, whose real name is Michael Ebenazer Owuo Junior, already had six points on his licence for speeding and he pleaded guilty by letter. His solicitor told Wimbledon Magistrates' Court that he accepted responsibility for his actions having previously denied being on his phone. He had also previously been stopped in a Lamborghini for having front windows that were illegally tinted to the extent that, according to the prosecution, had put vulnerable road users at risk. The court was informed that the tints on his cars had now been removed. As well as the six more points that were added to his licence leading to the ban, Stormzy was fined £2,010.
