Foodbank Fundraiser Urgently Needs Final Push
Deadline for warehouse appeal looming with 75% of target achieved

Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank is entering the final stretch of its urgent fundraiser to prepare a new warehouse, with just a week left to reach its target. So far, the campaign has raised over £14,000 from 35 backers, putting the charity at three-quarters of the way to its goal but all pledges need to be in by Monday 4 August.
The foodbank, which must vacate its long-standing home at West London College by the end of June, plans to relocate to the disused Flora Gardens Primary School in Hammersmith. But the former school site requires significant cleaning and refurbishment before it can be used to safely store and sort the large volumes of food distributed across the borough.
The charity’s fundraising page states, “Our warehouse is the heart of our operations; it’s where our community donations and purchased food to fill the gaps that donations don’t meet is safely stored, sorted, and prepared for delivery to our foodbank sessions. Securing and upgrading a new warehouse means one thing: we can keep delivering food to those who need it most, without interruption.”
Chief Executive Phil Storey said the outpouring of support so far has been “incredible”, adding that the charity has been “moved by how many of our supporters in the borough…want to see us succeed and to help us.”

With time running out, the foodbank is urging the community to help them reach the finish line and avoid any disruption to its essential services.
