Cllr Gary Malcolm raising funds for Shelter during October
Cllr Gary Malcolm, who represents Southfield ward on Ealing Council, has recently started the challenge of doing 10,000 steps a day in October to raise money for Shelter. The leader of the Liberal Democrats, the main opposition party in the borough, has already got through the first few days of the month and made his target. He said, "I started off doing 22,000 steps by walking in Kensington Gardens at the weekend but it will be tough to make sure I do 10,000 steps every day. The money goes to a great cause who help people in need especially with the cost-of-living crisis we have at the moment.” The link to donate money is here. You can also join Team Shelter to take up the 10000 step challenge during the month. The challenge is open to everyone and it's free to sign up. If you’re under 18, you'll need to sign up with an adult. The charity will also give you a free t-shirt if you are taking part and there is a Facebook group to motivate and support you during your challenge
