A man's been killed and another injured after both were stabbed in Ealing.

Police say they were originally called to reports of a fight in The Mall, W5 at around 3.15pm.

Witnesses say that a gang of up to 17 were involved.

A short time later police were called by London Ambulance Service to Gunnersbury Lane near the junction with the Uxbridge Road/ Acton High Street where they found two injured men.

One subsequently died from his injuries - the other was taken to a Central London hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The area near The Red Lion and Pineapple on the corner of Gunnersbury Lane was sealed off and traffic diverted.

Detectives from the major incident homide unit are investigating.
