Council Flies the Flag

Leader is 'thrilled and proud' to raise it

After a recent controversy when May Gurney, who have the contract to collect refuse and recycling for Ealing Council, were banned from flying flags from their lorries, the new regime at Ealing Council is now flying the flag of St George.

Councillor Julian Bell said: "Events like the World Cup are great because they really bring people together.  As a huge England fan I was thrilled and proud to raise the flag over the Town Hall and I wish the team every success."
