Search is on for budding local musicians to perform in Young Musician’s Showcase
The hunt is on for musical stars of the future to perform at the Ealing Summer Festival. The Blues, Global and Jazz music festivals are looking for budding local musicians aged 18 and under to perform as part of the Young Musician’s Showcase. The Showcase is a new addition to the Ealing Summer programme and aims to unearth some local young talent and give them an opportunity to perform in front of thousands of festival goers. Entries are open to individuals and groups and musicians from all genres are encouraged to enter. Ealing Council Executive Director for Environment and Customer Services, Keith Townsend, said: “The Young Musician’s Showcase is a great opportunity for local young musicians to perform in front of big audiences. I bet there are many talented young people around Ealing who are looking for a chance like this.” Entries must be as a demo tape, cd or music file, and must be received before 31 May 2009. The chosen performers will be notified by 15 June 2009. Entries need to include: 1.
