Spritely Fitness use Kylie song to raise money for Crisis
An Acton fitness group for the over fifties have made a Christmas video to raise money for the homeless charity Crisis. Before the pandemic Spritely Fitness met every Tuesday morning at St Marys Church Hall Acton, and every Friday at Ealing Green Church Hall. Since March the classes have been continuing on Zoom. The class includes an aerobics routine which the group has now made into a special Christmas video using Zoom. All the participants were in their own home performing the routine. The video is set to the Kylie Minogue track – 100 Degrees (It’s still Christmas to Me). A spokesperson for the group said, “It’s very appropriate for this year’s restricted Christmas. We’re hoping to spread a little happiness this Christmas with this joyous video, and at the same time we’re using it to raise money for Crisis. Please check out the message at the end of the video too. “Crisis can’t open their usual centres this year in the same way they normally do so they need our support more than ever. “Every £28.22 given will help give someone the gift of a Crisis Christmas. The coronavirus lockdown has reminded us how important a safe and secure home is for everyone. But this year, many people will be experiencing their first homeless Christmas. Together, we can ensure thousands of people are not facing homelessness alone, and provide the long-term support people need to leave homelessness behind for good.” A captioned version for the deaf is here.
