The police have issued an appeal for a key witness to a collision that took place recently on Popes Lane to come forward.

A pedestrian in his seventies was hit by a motorcycle on Friday, 3 December and remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Officers believe an Asian man driving a blue Hyundai Ioniq, who stopped near the junction with Gunnersbury Drive at around 1.48pm to assist, may be able to provide information to assist the investigation.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to speak to him and are urging him to come forward.

They are also continuing to appeal for anyone else who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to the police to get in touch.

Drivers who were in the area are urged to check any dash cams to see if they caught footage of the incident.

Anyone who can help is asked to call the appeal line on 0208 246 9820.

Alternatively, they can call the police non-emergency line on 101, providing the reference 3519/03DEC.
