Union calls off strike after ‘satisfactory agreement’
The RMT Union have called off strikesthat had been announced for next week on the Central and Victoria line. They say that on the Central Line a ‘satisfactory agreement’ has been reached with the company which resolves the dispute. They had cited a long list of grievances as the reason for holding industrial action including what they claimed were insufficient driver numbers/chronic understaffing; imposed rosters; undue pressure and bullying of Drivers from Service Control management; obstruction of representatives’ trade union duties; misuse of the attendance at work and disciplinary policies; inadequate welfare facilities and breaches of local agreements.
