An appeal is being made by British Transport Police to trace a man who assaulted a woman a train between Putney and Brentford.

The victim was waiting for a South Western Railway services just after midnight on 17 May this year on the platform at Putney.

She was approached by a man who initiated a conversation with her.

When the train arrived, the man followed the victim to a set of seats and said, “you’re my type”. He continued to talk to her throughout the journey before touching her inappropriately.

The train serves other stations in the area such as Chiswick and Kew Bridge.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have useful information which could help their investigation.
