Flooding shuts motorway this Sunday morning

Heavy overnight rains have resulted in the closure of the M4 between Junction 1 at Chiswick Roundabout and Junction 3 Heston westbound on Sunday morning. Eastbound between Junction 2 and Junction 1 there were speed restrictions in place due to surface water.

The motorway did not fully open until the afternoon causing widespread traffic chaos in West London.
