Council To Reveal CCTV Camera Locations

New initiative aimed at helping motorists to help themselves

Hounslow Council is set to implement a new initiative to 'help motorists to help themselves' by unveiling the location of all the CCTV cameras in the borough including those used for traffic management.

The scheme, which is alreay in place in Lambeth Borough will see the CCTV page on the council's website list the location of the cameras, what offences are monitored and the hours of operation. The information will be additional to the roadside signage near the actual CCTV cameras.

A spokesperson for Hounslow Council said, "This information is being compiled as some locations are still being finalised. It will be published on the Council's website in due course."
