Who
knows where this George Formby location is?
Hello
I am trying to trace this house that was featured in the film "Its
in the air" starring George Formby. I understand the flying scenes
were filmed at Hanworth Aerodrome so I am assuming this house /Hall was
quite close by.

The film also showed a long country road with a large stone wall along
it and this lodge building at the entrance to this big house
I am a member of the George Formby society and live in Wigan, A couple
of us are researching the film locations of George's films and taking
some photos of the locations just for our own enjoyment. In 2003 we went
to the Isle of Man (No Limit) and last year we went to Henley on Thames
(Keep fit). This year hopefully we can locate the scenes in "It's in the
air" the pictures of the big house and lodge building "Starred" in the
film. Part of the film was done in a village named Latimer. We thought
because they are really impressive buildings they must be still standing
today. The only trouble is, We don't know where... We have to assume it
is somewhere not far from Ealing studios. Thank you for any help.

Well,
it doesn't look like our local big houses, Gunnersbury Park or Boston
Manor Park. Go to our forum
discussion on the location to add any ideas you have.
