| Road Closures and Parking Restrictions for Gunnersbury Park Festivals |
Close to 40,000 each day expected at Lovebox and Citadel Festivals
A series of road closures and parking restrictions are to take place during the Lovebox and Citadel Festivals in Gunnersbury Park on 13-15 July. Close to 40,000 people are expected each day and the organisers are adopting the 'Mela' plan and are using the same company that handled that event when it has been held in previous years in the park. Popes Lane is to be closed between North Circular and Gunnersbury Drive with access only for London buses and the service station. Gunnersbury Lane will be closed between 8pm - 1am from North Circular to Bollo Lane on a daily basis. Parking will be suspended for both residents and non-residents on Gunnersbury Drive, North and South of Gunnersbury Lane from North Circular to Bollo Road and on both sides of Popes Lane from North Circular to South Ealing Road. Roads where access and parking will be open to residents only: Full diversion and road closure maps can be found in this presentation online (pdf). Resident Access stickers will be issued to affected roads, along with a letter detailing this - Residents’ Line: 07932 526 040 or gp-residents@mamaco.com Organisers are directing attendees from Acton Town station and hope that most will come in through the north entrance off Pope's Lane and will be directed down the middle of the park to the east of the boating lake down to the festival site at the south end of the park just above the fishing lake. Surrounding streets will be cleaned during the weekend. July 5, 2018
