Organisers want local people to be part of the welcoming team at Gunnersbury Park
The organisers of the Lovebox Festival in Gunnersbury Park this July are offering local people the chance to volunteer at the event in return for a chance to see the headline acts. They want people to come along to work an eight hour shift as part of the welcoming team who will help the expected 40,000 visitors to the two days of the festival find their way. Any volunteers will get training and support from an experienced team on site. Lunch, tea and coffee will be included.
In addition they will make a donation (size not specified) to a charity of your choice through My Cause UK and they say your shift will finish by 6pm which will allow you to watch the headline acts such as Skepta and Childish Gambino. Free entry to the event is on the day you volunteer only. General admission tickets to the event cost £59.50 plus booking fee but they are currently only selling VIP tickets to the Saturday event at £125 or general admission for the two days at the same price. Volunteer at the Lovebox Festival The Lovebox and Citadel festivals will run on consecutive days from 13 July-15 July from noon to 10.30pm. The expected demographic of the audience is 18-30 although the Citadel festival on the Sunday is more family friendly. The two festivals have been held in Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets for the last ten years but lost the contract to hold events in the area when another event bid for it promising more community engagement.
