After months of public concern and rumours stemming from private Gunnersbury Park Regeneration Board meetings, minutes of the first public gathering have now been published.

Amongst the proposals discussed were:

  • a valuation of the properties for particular uses, for example as a wedding venue, together with projected income and payment to the park to act as match funding for the Heritage Lottery Fund
  • a temporary ice rink for the winter months
to build a BMX track in the south west of the park. The Board agreed that this was not something it wished to pursue.
  • boating on the round pond (bids would be sought to operate boats on the Round Pond from those who operated boats in Hyde Park and Battersea Park.)

The full minutes of the meeting can be found here.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 27 November at 7.00 p.m. in the Terrace Room, Small Mansion, Gunnersbury Park.
