Horror Attack on Glamour Model Angel Harte subject to knife attack in Wandsworth
At around 5.45pm on Christmas Eve at Ringford Rd, Wandsworth, the woman aged 26 years was subject to an unprovoked attack in the street. Angel Harte was accompanied by her two daughters - aged 8 years and 2 years. The children were not harmed in any way. The suspect wore a black full-face crash helmet (with fluorescent green or yellow flashes/stripes on the sides) with a tinted visor. He made off, but it is not known if he did so on a motor-cycle. The woman - who lives locally - was taken to St George's Hospital, Tooting where she underwent surgery she was for a 3-inch cut to her left cheek, and other cuts to the face. Although stitches were used reconstructive surgery was conducted in an attempt to lessen the impact of the injuries. She may nevertheless suffer some permanent scarring. She was discharged from hospital on Boxing Day. Angel Harte has featured in the Sunday Sport, and other tabloid newspapers. PC Prion Gwyn of Wandsworth CID said: "This was a dreadful, violent attack on a defenceless woman that may have left her permanently scarred. We urgently need to trace any witnesses to the incident - we understand there were no passers-by in that street at the time, but perhaps someone did see the suspect arrive or making off. It is not known if he had a motor cycle - though this seems likely - or simply used the clothing and helmet as a disguise." Anyone who can assist is asked to call Wandsworth CID on 020-8247 8458; if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
