Serious Accident Closes A4

Vehicle collision by Sutton Court Road causes traffic chaos

The A4 was closed for part of Friday morning (12th September) following a serious accident on the eastbound carriageway near the junction with Sutton Court Road.

The incident involved the closure of the road and the shutting of the junction with Sutton Court Road. It did not fully reopen until several hours later.

No confirmed reports have been received yet of any injuries or fatalities resulting from the accident.

The junction has long been highlighted by local people as dangerous and accidents are far from uncommon at the location.
