Brentford FC Launches More Thousands of Stories
Latest short film features bromance between its star strikers

A look at the close relationship between Brentford FC’s two star strikers kicks off the next series of its Thousands of Stories, a collection of short films giving an insight into the club’s community.
After two seasons focusing on staff and fans, season three consists of four films that focus on the club’s value of togetherness.
This year’s stories take an intimate look into the personal lives of players and staff, and the relationships that strengthen them.
Series three begins with The Bromance, where players Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa chat about how they uplift and support each other through their friendship and have built a relationship that means more than just goals and assists.
The film will be released at 7pm, Wednesday 14 May on the club’s website.
Last year, the club’s series was awarded a Broadcast Sport Award for Short Form Content of the Year, defeating competition from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur’s viral player arrival videos and Andy Murray Farewell: Wimbledon.
For series three of Thousands of Stories, the club had unprecedented access into players’ private moments when they discussed how Brentford has shaped their lives, and the lives of their loved ones.
Three further films from Thousands of Stories will be released across the next three weeks starting with A Brentford love story on 21 May. Former Brentford centre-backs, Karleigh and Armanda Osborne, remember their playing days where their love blossomed. The pair meet in the Griffin Pub for an honest conversation about their playing careers, Karleigh’s career as Brentford Women coach and how they’ve balanced family life and the beautiful game.
Then on 28 May From Bucheon to Brentford will be released. Player Ji-soo Kim and Brentford’s head of individual player development Steven Pressley left South Korea and Scotland respectively at a young age to pursue a career in football. Over a Korean barbeque, they unpack Ji’s move to Brentford and how the club has come to feel like home.
The latest series concludes on 4 June with My Boy, Rico. Fiona Henry has watched her son, Rico Henry, achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer. Together, they look back at how far their family has come in a world where success doesn’t come without its challenges
