Brentford 3 - 3 MK Dons (Brenford Win on Penalties)
Brentford won on penalties at MK Dons last night after a thrilling 3-3 draw Manage Uwe Rosler had his team selection restricted by a growing injury list with Sam Saunders, Shaleum Logan and Leon Legge all facing protracted lay-offs. Clayton Donaldson and Toumani Diagouraga were also not fit for action last night but are believed to be closer to a first team return. It was little surprise when MK opened the scoring from close range through former Bees striker Charlie MacDonald - who to his credit did not celebrate in front of the travelling support. Prior to this Richard Lee had made a smart save from Dean Bowditch - another former Brentford player. Dons continued to dominate the early exchanges but Brentford equalised through the impressive debutant Adam Thompson who headed home a corner at the far post. The home team's lead was soon restored by Chadwick but shortly before half time a cynical foul on the breaking Myles Weston saw MK reduced to ten men. A brace from Gary Alexander looked to have sealed a win for The Bees but a Jonathan Douglas own goal levelled the scores before the final whistle - which came shortly after Dons keeper Martin had made an amazing stop from a Marcus Bean header. Fortunately Brentford are quite good at penalty shoot outs theses days and converted all four required to win (Alexander, Grella, Douglas and Reeves scoring). Richard Lee had already saved one penalty before Stephen Gleeson smashed his decisive spot kick over the bar. Harry Forrester looked very lively for Brentford last night and has a nice touch on the ball whilst Grella also put in an improved stint as substitute.. Bees - Lee, Thompson, Eger, KO, Woodman, Weston (Grella), Bean, Douglas, Kev (Reeves), Forrester (Wood), Alexander
