St Augustine's Priory School Whole School Open Day | ||
Empowering our community of girls through education and life skills
The staff at St Augustine’s Priory is dedicated to preparing their students to be highly effective women in the workplace and in the world. From Nursery upwards, the classes are Outstanding and all the students have specialist teachers from their first day. In tandem with expert teaching, our girls are taught life skills, in order to encourage development of mature, self-aware, confident and responsible adults through a wide-ranging Enrichment Programme which forms a vital part of the Sixth Form experience. Preparing girls for the future is the foundation of the school’s teaching and by working closely with organisations such as Youth Parliament, Model United Nations and the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, to name but a few, the girls embark on new challenges outside the classroom making them truly ready for the next challenge of university. The Headteacher since 2012, Mrs Sarah Raffray, believes in embedding a Catholic ethos which has a practical and authentic application for girls in the 21st century. Together with her team of highly talented and experienced teachers, she is committed to enabling the young women who leave St Augustine’s Priory at the end of their A Levels to meet the challenges of higher education, the workplace and the wider world with confidence, vitality and depth of character. And this year’s Head Girl stated recently, ‘I consider myself lucky to have had the privilege of growing up at St Augustine’s Priory, in this academically stimulating and loving environment of which I can say I have loved every minute.’ Whole school Open Day is Saturday 5th March 2016 10am-12noon.
