The Monkees to play rare gig at Apollo in September
Sixties boy band The Monkees are coming to the Hammersmith Apollo on Friday 4, September with tickets now on sale.
The last tour of the UK in 2011 climaxed with a sold-out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the forthcoming concert in September will be their first concert since that time and the untimely death of British member Davy Jones in February 2012.
Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork will carry on that tradition with an evening of music and multi-media, including rare films and images from their series.
The new show promises to feature all of the Monkees hits, plus an intimate acoustic set and selections from their cult classic, HEAD.
If you are too young to remember the group and hits like Hey Hey We're the Monkees and Daydream Believer, you can read more about them here.
You can now buy tickets online or call the hotline on 0844 249 1000.
