Hammersmith and Fulham Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Brook Green which resulted in thieves getting away with gold worth almost 200,000 pounds.

Police say they were called on Tuesday July 12 at approximately 12.30pm to the Brook Green area in Hammersmith.

A substantial amount of gold coins and bars were stolen with a market value of just under £200,000.

Anyone who recognises the gold or may have any information is asked to contact DC Owen Coulson based in the Burglary Squad on 0208 246 2678 or to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

No arrests have been made so far and police say their enquiries continue.
