The Snow Dragon by Tall Stories
The night of the Snow Dragon approaches... Have you been naughty or nice? Following the huge success of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child, Tall Stories returns with the story of Billy the Goat and the mysterious Snow Dragon... Billy is the kid. He has everything a young goat could need – and more besides. When New Year’s Eve approaches, Billy’s rich parents tell him to pick berries to leave out for the Snow Dragon – so that it will bring him lots of fantastic presents. But looking for berries is hard work and Billy finds it much easier to ‘borrow’ from his friends. As a result, New Year doesn’t turn out quite how he expected... There are wolves in the woods, and every kid has to start growing up one day... Storytelling, theatre and songs create a magical, comical world for everyone aged 3 & up. A world in which goats believe in the Snow Dragon, hedgehogs believe in the Snow Unicorn and pigs believe in the Snow Goblin. Who is right? And who needs to be good anyway if your parents keep telling you that you're “number one”? Witty and high-energy songs are provided by the composers of The Gruffalo stage show, and the mysterious Snow Dragon is created by The National Theatre’s ‘His Dark Materials’ puppeteer... Tall Stories present old, new and timeless stories in a physical, visual style, always acknowledging the presence of the audience. The performances link original music with movement and a lot of laughs. The company was founded in 1996 by directors Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell.
