A 13 year old from West Ealing has been arrested and charged with rape in connection with an attack on a teenage girl.

He is the second youth to be arrested in connection with this case; last month a 15 year old male was arrested and charged.

Both youths have been remanded in custody at a young offenders' institution and are due to appear at Acton Youth Court this week

The attack took place on Monday 23rd April at around 4.30pm at Tintern Court, Green Man Lane, W13. The victim was on route home from school when she arranged to meet a young male in West Ealing. She got off a bus near Deans Gardens and met him and two other youths outside a sandwich shop in West Ealing.

The group then proceeded to take the short walk to the Green Man Estate in West Ealing. They entered a block of flats at Tintern Court and proceeded to an upper floor of the block and were met by two more young males.

The girl was the raped and sexually assaulted by all five males. A short time later the victim has fled the scene and made her way home to her family who contacted the police

The suspects are described as a mixture of black and mixed race males aged between 14 -17 years.

Police are still keen to trace a female member of the public who police believe has spoken to the victim as she left the Green Man Estate. They are not sure whether she was leaving an address or returning to an address when she spoke to the victim.

Anyone who have any information which could help the investigation is asked to contact Ealing Borough Sapphire Unit on telephone number 020-8246-1139 quoting Crime Reference Number 2512609/07 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
