Pub bouncer to stand trial for killing Nick Padget

A series of raids have been conducted on the Green Man Estate in West Ealing which have yielded a haul which included Class A drugs and weapons.

The operation took place at 11am on 5th December with 4 premises being raided. Specialist police teams including dog handlers were involved as well as the local Safer Neighbourhoods teams.

The raids occurred at No’s 16, 49 and 55 Tintern Court and No 8 Williams Road, West Ealing. The raids on these street crime generators resulted in five arrests for firearms, drugs, money laundering and theft offences.

Ricardo Byfield, a 27 year old black male from Whitton Avenue West, Northolt has been charged with possession of class A drugs, namely heroin, and possession of class C drugs, namely cannabis. Byfield was arrested at No. 8 Williams Road, West Ealing. Two men and two women have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers recovered a quantity of class A drugs, believed crack cocaine, live ammunition, a quantity of cannabis, a samurai sword, quantity of drugs paraphernalia (crack pipes, foil), a quantity of mobile phones, a laptop, a camera and a computer scanner. They also seized several thousand pounds, a Saab motor vehicle, designer clothing and a large screen TV under the proceeds of crime act. The local safer neighbourhood team delivered reassurance leaflets to the local community, which outlined the reasoning behind the increased police presence in the area.

Detective Superintendent Julian Worker, Ealing Borough Police said, “We are determined to tackle drugs and anti social behaviour in partnership with the community and other agencies, to help make Ealing Borough a safer place. The premises targeted today and the people who frequent them play havoc with the everyday lives of the local residents and act as crime generators for crime and disorder in the area.”
