Ealing Trailfinders 34 Civil Service 10

By beating Civil Service 34-10 in this London 2 North fixture, Ealing extended their unbeaten league run to 16 games. Playing against opponents threatened with relegation, Ealing fell behind to an early converted try. Kevin Kelly and Leighton Norman both scored unconverted tries that ensured Ealing reached half-time with a 10-7 lead.

Civil Service refused to give up, but Ealing's forwards won a good amount of line-outs and loose ball, ensuring that the backs had a lot of ball to work with. Further tries from Leighton Norman (his second) Andrew Macrae, Simon Bundy and Ben Acton, with 2 conversions by Chris Wells, ensured that in the end, Ealing Trailfinders were comfortable winners.

Already through to the semi-final of the Middlesex Cup, Ealing Trailfinders 1 st XV   will have a rest this week. However, the 2 nd XV play against Southend 1 st XV, whilst the Ealing Development Squad play in the quarter final of the North-West Middlesex Floodlit Cup. Kick -off for this is at 1.30 on account of the lack of floodlights!
