Two New Courses From Leiths
'Champagne and Chocolate Tasting' and 'Quick and Easy Cookery'
Leiths School of Food and Wine will be hosting two new courses.
Champagne and Chocolate tasting – Evening Class, 11 March, cost £90.
Nancy Gilchrist, MW and Richard Bampfield, MW, will co-present an evening which is not intended to try to match Champagne and Chocolate; but rather to explore the factors that make them so special and to help us understand how to discern quality and to appreciate nuances of flavour and style. Taste four different Champagnes and six different chocolates, four of them single origin, all selected to stimulate our senses, taste buds and interest. The class would make a wonderful Valentine's or Mothers Day gift, vouchers can be purchased online.
Quick and Easy Cookery- Starts 19 May to 9 Jun 2010, every Wednesday, 10:30am to 1pm, Cost: £320.
This practical daytime course will run for 4 weeks. Designed for those who want to learn how to put together easy meals with little effort but achieve maximum effect. Students cook in pairs in a very relaxed environment. At the end of the session they can sit down and enjoy what they have cooked. There will be few technical skills taught, but lots of handy hints and tips. The cost of the course includes a copy of Leiths Simple Cookery Bible.
