Largest field ever expected for run to help Cardiac Risk in the Young
The largest ever field of runners is expected to take part in the annual Ealing Eagles' 10K race at Gunnersbury Park on Sunday, 8th May 2016.
The race, now in its 5th year, will also be raising money for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), who support young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions.
The 10K race, is organised by local running group the Ealing Eagles, is a mixture of grass, trails and concrete footpaths, is suitable to participants of all abilities, whether they are a beginner or a seasoned runner.
Allie Collins, Ealing Eagles Chairperson, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting CRY as our new club charity for 2016 and would like to encourage as many people as possible to take part in the race. It’s got a fun and friendly atmosphere and a fast course for those looking to get a PB.”
The race starts at 10.30am. There are cash prizes given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd maleand female runners. Additionally, there will be awards for Age categories and first Team. The presentation will take place at approximately 12.00pm. Please note the minimum age is 17 years old. Only one prize may be awarded in the individual prize categories but each finisher receives a goody bag and medal.
