Completion of Thames Water's work on Goldhawk Road, which was scheduled for Sunday 4 March has been delayed as snow prevented the delivery of the tarmac needed for the road surface.

Thames Water says the repair is now expected to be completed, and the road fully reopened by Wednesday 7 March.

Thames Water has apologised for the delay in completing the "extensive" repairs which were necessary following the burst pipe on 31 January which caused major flooding.

Until then, northbound vehicles reaching the junction of Hammersmith Grove and Goldhawk Road can only turn left.

The delay comes as Thames Water asks customers in London to use as little water as possible, as the company attempts to deal with multiple leaks and bursts caused by last week's freeze followed by a rapid thaw. You can read more on this story here.
