Ealing Borough Police would like to appeal for help from the general public in identifying two male suspects who police believe are responsible for a vicious assault on two boys/young men, which occurred outside Westway Cars (Cab Office), Abbey Parade, Hanger Lane, W5 at approximately 1930hrs on Wednesday 11th August 2004.

A third 16-year-old male from West Ealing was arrested in September 2004 in connection with this incident and is currently on bail pending further enquiries.

The victims were stood outside of the cab office and Pizza shop in Abbey Parade when the three suspects approached from the direction of the North Circular. As the suspects approached the victims they were heard to say, " Who are you looking at?" He replied " Not at any one" and this is when the three suspects attacked both victims. The suspects left via an alleyway between the shops in Abbey Parade which leads to a rear service road and took off in a silver car.

The first victim, a 17-year-old male was in the chest with a 7-centimetre blade, and underwent surgery and received some internal stitches. He is now making a full recovery from his ordeal and injuries at home. The other was a 14-year-old schoolboy, who was kicked about head and body whilst on ground. He attended Central Middlesex Hospital to be treated for cuts to his face and bruising to his head and jaw. He was discharged from hospital that evening.

Ealing Police would ask anyone with any information about this incident or who may recognise the suspects from their E-fits to contact DC Rob Learney in CID Unit at Southall Police Station on telephone number 020-8246-1162 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Ealing Police Spokesperson stated, This was a terrifying vicious and unprovoked attack on two innocent members of the community people just going about their own business. Ealing borough police are treating this incident very seriously and are anxious to trace the offenders. We would ask anyone with information on this incident, no matter how insignificant it may appear, to contact us.
