The Police are offering cash prizes of up to £1,500 to local community groups who through their work make Hounslow Borough a better place to live and work.

The money for these prizes has been made available by auctioning property which has come into the possession of police, where owners have not come forward or enquiries have not been able to trace them.

One cash prize of £1500 and twenty prizes of £500 will be awarded to the most deserving community groups who can describe how they ‘help to reduce crime and disorder, and improve the quality of life for those who live and work in the Borough of Hounslow.'

The closing date for entries is Friday 29th October 2004.

Entries will be judged by a panel which will sit during November.
