Residents across West London are being asked to give their views on what can be done to improve community safety.

An online questionnaire is available for a survey being carried out on behalf of the West London Alliance, an association of six local authorities. The boroughs involved are Hounslow, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow and Hillingdon.

The survey results will be used to help Councils and the Police to better understand what residents are most concerned about.

“Crime doesn’t respect borders, so its important that we are able to look at the issues across the area as a whole” said Anne Maloney, Head of Community Safety & Crime Reduction for Hounslow. “we will also be using the results to help inform our main three yearly crime audit which comes out later in the year.”

Residents are being asked for their views on a range of issues and crime reduction initiatives such as blocking off rear alleyways, whether homes should be fitted with better lock and whether more home watch/business watch schemes and more youth activities would help.

Don't miss the opportunity to make your views known; the survey will play an important part in shaping the strategy to tackle crime in West London in the future.
