Family grow concerned about missing visitor

72 year old Gurbachan Jammu not seen since Jan 8th

gurbachan jammuPolice are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 72 year old Gurbachan Singh Jammu. He has been staying with relatives in the Southall area over the past couple of months and was due to return to India in early February. Gurbachan was last seen by his relatives at their home address at 11 pm on Saturday 7 th January 2006.

 

Police believe he left the home address in Southall at 6 o'clock in the morning on Sunday 8th of January 2006 and went to the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Havelock Road, Southall. Gurbachan visited the Gurdwara on a regular basis. It is not known what time Gurbachan left the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara.

 

Police know Gurbachan left the home address with his mobile phone and approximately one hundred pounds in cash. He has made no contact since he went missing and his absence is out of character according to his family.

 

Gurbachan is described as Asian, 5ft 08� (173cm), thin build, Green eyes, dark hair and a grey beard.  It is believed Gurbachan was wearing a plain blue turban, a green casual jacket and blue jeans on the morning of his disappearance. Police believe he has not taken any further clothes with him.

 

Gurbachan does not speak English but is able to speak Punjabi.
