Finding and choosing care services

Ealing Council launches new directory of care homes

A new free directory of all registered residential and nursing homes is now available to Ealing's residents. The Ealing Care Directory includes contact details and information about local care agencies and care home services.

It also provides tips about:

•  how to access care services in Ealing
•  advice on what to look for when choosing a care home
•  how to arrange care
•  eligibility criteria
•  residents' rights
•  how to finance care
•  what the basic differences are between the different types of home available.

Ealing Council Leader Jason Stacey said: Ealing Council is committed to helping vulnerable adults and older people to stay independent for as long as possible.

However if that is not possible we want to ensure our residents get the information and support they need to make the best decisions for themselves or their loved ones.

The directory can be picked up at a variety of public places throughout the borough including GP surgeries, voluntary sector organisations, day centres, libraries, community centres and social services receptions.

Copies can be requested from the Social Services contact centre at Ealing Council on 020 8825 8000.

The directory can also be downloaded from the following websites:
