Police are asking for witnesses to a collision between a blue Ford Ka and a pedal cyclist which took place at the junction of Gunnersbury Avenue (A406) and Popes Lane today (12th October) at around 12.30pm.

The car was travelling northbound towards Hangar Lane and the cyclist, 60 year old Ronald Turner of Wendell Road Shepherd's Bush, was exiting a pedestrian crossing when they were in collision. The driver of the Ford Ka stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

London Ambulance Service attended the scene and brought Mr. Turner to a central London hospital where he was pronounced dead.
