The horrific run of local road fatalities continues with yet another accident. The latest tragedy occurred this Saturday (26th February) in Isleworth.

At approximately 17.45 a Yamaha 100cc scooter traveling south along Twickenham Road was in collision with a silver Honda Accord which was turning into the entrance of West Middlesex Hospital. The female car driver in her 30's was unhurt.

The rider of the scooter - a 22 year old man from Isleworth - was taken to West Middlesex Hospital but later pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Adriano Botta - next of kin has been informed. Adriano, who worked as a chef, was Italian and lived locally with his partner and brother.

Adriano's mother said, "Adriano was a happy fun loving boy who worked hard and never caused any problems for us. My biggest regret is that I was in Italy and not here for him. I need to know why this happened to my son."

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call PS Craig Robertson at the Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8941 9011.
