Recently we became aware of a proposal from Transport for London (TfL) for a new bus route, from Park Royal to Harrow Road via Acton and White City.

We asked TfL for more details. Their spokesperson said:
"We have worked with Hammersmith & Fulham Council and The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to develop plans for the new proposed bus route 228. The proposed single deck route would operate between Central Middlesex Hospital and Elgin Avenue, via Harlesden, East Acton, White City, Ladbroke Grove and Harrow Road.

"London Buses will consult with the local community from mid May and will carefully consider all responses before making a final decision in collaboration with the council."

Local residents will be sent leaflets with details and a map of the proposed route and will have the opportunity to send their comments to London Buses. The consultation will begin in mid May and will close in July 2008.

Information on the consultation will also be available on the TfL website from mid May. We will be able to give more information as it becomes available to us.
